A Wednesday To Remember (042512)

Months ago, Ryiel and I already had plans of watching "The Avengers".
It's because of his fondness of Marvel comics/superheroes that we agreed to watch it.
And it's also because we already watched some of it's individual movies. :-)

So there, we waited so long for April 25.
To finally get to watch Chris Evans again! :-) (my agenda!)

We agreed to meet up at SM Marilao.
And was surprised to know that Avengers is showing in all of it's cinemas.
While waiting for him, I bought our foods. Chips and cookies. :-)

When he got there, he immediately bought the tickets. (thanks by for the treat!)
Ryiel was so excited he was running towards the cinema to finally get a seat.

The movie was so worth the wait!!!
Sulit ang 3 hours!
I got to see more of my Chris Evans! hihihihi
I won't tell anything and spoil everything! :-)
We really wanted to watch it again but too bad... one time screening!! :-(
We were so engrossed with the movie that I had my mouth open the whole time yata! Nganga!! :-)

After the movie, we planned to eat at Jabee! (Jollibee!).
We don't normally eat there for we'll just leave it to the kids, and Dhara. hehe
But because of this promo that Ryiel found out on the commercial, we had no choice.
Yeah, he got what he wants, this. :-)

(he got the black one)

Meanwhile, I got a text from Karen that Sir Angel was planning to treat us as a celebration of Teacher Weng's success in passing the LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers). NOTE: US not HER. :-)
So we rushed out, for me to meet them, and for him to go home.
I don't really want to go but this is a celebration, plus I got other days to be with my baby naman. :-)

When I got into the car, Sir Angel told me, "Oh asan si Ryiel? Dapat sinama mo na!"
I was like, awwwww. Sayang!
Anyways, there's still a next time.

So there, we finally arrived at Shell Balagtas.
We waited at Starbucks while they bought the pizzas.
After that, we started eating.

(here am I trying to do my jump shot! FAILED)

Then, when we're already inside the car, Sir Angel told us that we're not yet going home.
We stopped by another gas station and went to Dimsum n' Dumplings.
Oh my! I'm on a diet!!
When Sir asked us regarding our orders, I couldn't answer directly for I was still full.
But then, I still had my choice.
It was the Nido Pork Fry (Rice Topping).

While the others had these.

All in all, I really didn't expect that a simple start on my Wednesday would end this good.
I was able to be with the people that I love to be with, all in the same day! :-)
This was indeed a nice experience.
A nice way to celebrate the 25th of April! (what?!!)
I'm so thankful to God that I was blessed to get to experience all of these.
I know I'll sleep later with a smile on my face.:-)

P.S. I am now sporting a new look. Full bangs lang ang peg! hehe
I'll share a picture taken earlier.

Random Sunday Thought : Sweetness.

"Hello babe. Have you eaten your dinner na?
Don't starve yourself, i'll get mad. Okay? Love you. Kisses. :-)"

Sweetness.
If you're a girl who's like me, your first reaction will be,
"awww. sweet naman."
Well, it's the universal initial reaction in our world.
We tend to get really overwhelmed with all those sweetness.
I must admit, I am a casualty.

But, let me ask you this?
When do you think sweetness goes overboard?
When do you think it's nakakaumay na?
Do you think it's just okay to be not-so-sweet at times?
Is it something that will hurt your pride?

I had this experience before that led me into asking someone
who's older than I am, "Ok lang po ba minsan hindi ka magpaka-sweet?".
And his answer really left me thinking deep.
He said something like, "Paano ba yung natural mo sa kanya? Bakit kailangan mong baguhin?
Hindi ba dapat ipagpatuloy mo lang yun hanggang sa marealize nya na kailangan mo din
na maramdaman yun? Wag mong baguhin ang sarili mo kung ganun ka na talaga."
He's right.
I need not to change myself.
If I am really that saccharine-sweet in nature, why would I change that?
I was blessed with this kind of attitude.
Unlike those who were like pooped on by the Adarna.

Being sweet is a gift.
A gift that you need to work on.
A gift that you need to share.
For other people might not be blessed with it.

Another question:
When do you think it should stop?

Well, I think it shouldn't.
In the first place, what is your reason for stopping.
You're just trying to pretend to be someone you're not.

Stay sweet! Stay sugar-y sweet! :-)

Every Guy's To-Do List.

Listen. Here are the things that you boys should do. Kahit paminsan lang.

1. Good morning texts. Every girl would like to wake up and see a good morning greeting from someone very special to her.
2. Wall posts on Facebook. Drop by her wall sometimes. Say something sweet. Or even just a simple hello…
3. Surprise hugs from behind. A little surprise won’t hurt. Sneak up on her and hug her from behind. She’ll love it.
4. Random notes on post-its. Leave sticky notes on places where she’ll see them but will never expect them to be. A simple message like “Take care” or “I love you always” would do.
5. Make her wear your clothes. She’ll look cute and tiny on your big sweat shirts. She’ll love it when your scent stays on her after wearing your clothes.
6. Show up on her front door and surprise her with flowers. Don’t do this over and over tho. A girl loves something spontaneous every once in a while. This’ll surely make her day.
7. Put up with her. Girls are very dramatic. When we’re hurt, we really hurt like hell. Put up with all her drama. Be sweet and caring because that’s what we need. Don’t be an asshole.
8. Late night calls. Wake her up in the middle of the night to say that you love her. At first, she’ll be yelling things like “Why the hell are you calling me at this time” or “I’m sleepy and tired. Why’d you call”. But when she’ll realize what you said, she’ll be all mushy and say “Awww. I love you too.” HAHA.

Random Saturday Thought.

And so there.
I heard it again.
I feel very proud.
I feel very happy.
How many times did I hear it for the past years?
Can't even count it using all of my fingers.
I still can't believe it.

I've been locked and stoned here.
But I can't complain.
For I love being here.
I'm loving the feeling.
I don't want to go far.
I want to stay here.
For this is where I see myself in it's utmost happiness.
I don't want to be rude and take that happiness away from myself.
I just want everything to stay this way.

Help me make this last.
I want to see myself like this years from now.
Smiling, laughing, and inspired.
I don't want to change anything.
I want things to stay this way.
It may be hard but we can bear it.
I will work hard for it.
I will fight and stand up for what I know is right, for me, for you, for us.

PANAGBENGA Festival

Nope, I didn't get to see the festival itself because of some unfavorable circumstances,
but I got to see the flowers (not the festival) after a month.
Thank God for my ex-boss (Sir Angel), for he was
generous enough to take us to Baguio for the third time.

Even though I wasn't able to witness the festival itself,
I still had the chance to see Baguio's flora.
And here are the they. :-)

Wish List.

ang dami - dami ko gusto! bakit kaya ganun? ang dami ko naiisip. gusto ko nito, gusto ko ganyan! don’t get me wrong. i’m not being materialistic.this is not just about THAT. pero, sometimes, darating talaga yung time na meron ka gusto makuha/mangyari.
  1. White Roses - actually, kahit di pasko, wish ko ‘to! ewan ko ba! there’s something with these flowers that just fascinate me. iba yung dating sakin nung white kasi eh! may nagbigay na sa’kin before, bouquet pa. pero. hmmmmm. basta!
  2. MP3/MP4 Player - eto talaga gusto ko! eh kasi naman. i have two phones. yung isa, yung lumang LG ng kapatid ko, may 2gb memory card yun! at tuwang-tuwa na ako dun, kaso, parang feeling ko, masyado na syang gamit na gamit, parang it’s not meant as a music player. well, mahal ko lang talaga ang musika kaya di ako makatagal nang hindi nakikinig eh! kailangan ko yun! feeling ko ba, hindi ko kaya mag-go-on ng isang araw nang wala ako napapakinggan na kanta. LOL! gusto ko ‘to! sana matupad!
  3. Jeans - eto yung sinasabi ko na kaya ko naman bilhin pero di ko magawa. siguro na din dahil sa nature ng trabaho ko, di ako nare-require na bumili ng madaming pantalon, i have 4 or 5 ata, pero i have this one lang na talagang favorite ko! sige na nga, i’ll try to buy two on December! :)
  4. Extra Battery for my Camera - i was planning to buy a memory card sana na mas malaki yung memory, but someone told me na wag na lang daw, tutal naman, i have my laptop to save the pictures (tons of it!). And so there, naisip ko kasi, what if medyo malayo yung pupuntahan ko and just in case di lang ako isang araw mag-stay dun, ano na mangyayari sa’kin? eh ang hilig ko pa naman sa pictures. PROMISE! I have my camera in my bag everyday! Kasi, if something special happen unexpectedly, at least, ready ako di ba? I just wanted to cherish every special moment!
  5. An Eternal HDD or an 8gb flash drive - kailangan ko ‘to! i’m sure of it. natatakot kasi ako bigla mag-crash yung laptop namin dahil sa konti na lang yung memory. tsaka, considering my fondness of pictures, naku! panigurado, mapupuno ko talaga! SANA SANAtalaga makabili ako. di man sa pasko, pero sana lan talaga.
  6. A Paramore CD - kahit yung “Brand New Eyes” lang o yung “Final Riot!”. yun lang!
  7. An Enchanted Kingdom Date - GRANTED!! (January 8,2012)
—- Ang dami ko gusto! Pag ginanahan pa ko, baka dagdagan ko pa ‘to! Anyways.. Eto yung mga yun! I know naman na hindi ko kaya or hindi ko pa kaya yung iba, pero sana man lang, isa sa mga yan, matupad! :)

Ren.An.Gel.Ace.Fra.Di.

Have you ever experienced being around people that even though what you're doing was "illegal", you still want to be with them most of the time? *raise hand* By the time I started my college freshie years, I had this fear. Fear of who might be, among those groups of people will accept me. Will they be also that good to me (just like my H.S. barkada)? Will they accept my flaws (oh! i have plenty!) ? But, good thing! I found and was successful enough to be with this group.

Dyaraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. Ren. An. Gel. Ace. Fra. Di. (please excuse the guy in green shirt!LOL)

(Standing : Diane, Karen, Me, Angelie -- Sitting : Franiel, Legel, Epal Jeff!)

Yeah! They're the reason why I was able to have a very happy college life (sans the stressful environment!)
These people never fail to make me laugh when I didn't want to. (awwwww)
Let me try to share to you how good they are as friends.

1. Ms. Angelie Francisco Marcos

 There she is. My "soulmate".
Why soulmate? That was because I've come to know her prior to our first year as college students.
Yep, we happened to sit beside each other during the time when we were just processing our requirements.
And we even got surprised when we found out that we're under the same course. :-)
Angelie or Angel fits her name right....NOT! LOL
She is a very intelligent girl. (we're always together at the Dean's List!! Yabang!)
She's also very brave, she'll say what she wants to say.
A very good friend, a very GENEROUS friend, a friend that can be a crying shoulder.
And most of the time, as long as she's not busy, she'll be there for you when you need her.
She is very frank, but always in a good way.
She is a very honest friend. She'll tell you, "Panget mo! Di bagay sa'yo."
And she'll also praise you when needed.
And of all my friends, she is the only one who's fond of calling me by my whole name,
"Marygrace".
I love you Gel. :-)

with Angelie...

2. Ms Karen De La Torre Leosala

There's Karen.
The one I'm always with MOST of the time.
When we graduated, we both applied on the same school (and got hired).
We were together as co-teachers for three years.
Then, right now, we're both struggling to make it in the public school.
Let me tell you some things about her. :-)
She's very malambing. She would always linger and hug you when she wants to.
She is also a cry-baby. She would cry on very simple things.
She is very TALKATIVE! As in :-)
But she often talks with sense. (not like before, LOL!)
She is a picture addict!
Let me share an anecdote about her.
Back when she's still doesn't have a camera and we'll go out,
expect that almost all of you who has one will be flooded by her face. (that's how photo-addict she is!)
Every time we're with other people, she is always the "life".
She never fails to make the people around her laugh out loud!
She is also an independent girl.
I admire her for the fact that she was able to stand on her two feet.
Labyu frendship! :-)

with Karen.....

3. Ms. Legel Gail Nicart Estrael

The Artist of the barkada.
She is the only one among all of us who can draw something out of something.
(that's how talented she is!)
She is very creative. She can think of something in a snap of a finger.
She knows how to reconstruct something that is bad.
She is very emotional. LOL!
She can cry fast as if she's in an artist's workshop of ABS-CBN! Joke! :-)
Legel or Gel (as we fondly call her) is very kuripot.
But she has her own reasons naman why.
She is also like me, matakaw!
And also, among the group, she is the only one with a different religion.
She is a Jehova's witness.
Often times, when we're about to do something, she'll tell us,
"Bawal samin yun, bawal samin yan."
That's how she is devoted to her religion. And we admire her for that.
She is also a victim of insanity! LOL!
She is one crazy woman. One time she's okay, next time she's not.
She often drives us nuts because of her "banats" and jokes.
She has a very sharp mind. She is smart.
She is Legel. :-)

with Legel....

4. Diana Marie Dela Cruz Avendano

Then there's Diane.
The serious type sa aming lahat.
There were times that I was wondering how she was able to
withstand us five. Kami na laging baliw!
Thank You Diane for your patience! LOL!
Diane is very simple.
But among us, she has the most number of textmates.
Di yan nawawalan. :-)
She is always quiet, but once she opens her mouth to talk,
ay naku! Wagas!!!
She loves to tease us.
She is the most prangka (talo pa si Angelie!)
But she is very good in giving an advice.
But she's very matakaw sa Mcdonald's! Like me! :-)

with Diane........

5. Lucas Franiel Dalistan Villanueva

Then, there's Frany (as what we fondly call him/her).
The only girl in the group. :-)
The comedienne. LOL!
A very funny guy/girl.
Every time our section has vacant periods, he would sometimes stood up
then crack jokes for the ice to break.
Whenever I'm sad, he's there to always make me laugh.
What I like about him/her the most is her/his
"malandi walk". (the one with the protruding pwet!)
She/He walks like that mimicking how girls usually walk,
but of course, with an exaggeration! :-)
He/She also is fond of pulling her/his hair back,
as if she/he has a long hair.
She's/He's very maarte.
She/He never fails to compliment you when you're wearing something nice.
That's Frany! :-)

P.S. I had a very hard time with the pronouns that I used with Frany.
Forgive me for that. For I, too, is still confused. LOL!

with Franiel.....

So, there they are. My college barkada.
The reasons why  I had a very meaningful college life.
(aside from Ryiel of course!)
I would never trade them for anything in the world!
I love them so dear! :-)

P.S. If you find the pictures very disturbing, that's because we're way far from how we really look like today! LOL! We may have changed a lot, but the friendship still remains.

Hakuna Matata!! :-)
