Baguio.. The Third Time Around!

April 4-7.
My 3rd time in the city of pines.
This trip maybe the last trip that i'll be having with my Paragon family
because I had plans of transferring and
render my service to the Philippine government. LOL!

But, what are the NICE places to go to in Baguio?!
Let me share to you some of it!! :-)

"Lion's Head at Kennon Road"
- there are two ways to get to Baguio, Kennon Road and Marcos Highway.
Kennon Road is usually meant for private vehicles.
while Marcos Highway is for buses and large vehicles
(because it has a wider road compared to the very gggaaaaaaahhhh road of Kennon!).
most people/family pass by Kennon just to have their pictures taken with the Lion's Head. :-)

Teacher's Camp

yeah, i know you're thinking that this place was only meant teachers..NOT!
we were able to talk to one of it's caretakers only to find out
that they also accept non-teaching guests..
ONLY when they are not that fully-booked!
upon knowing this, we got disappointed because we already had a place to stay into.
awwww!
(actually, ghost stories were very popular here so im glad we didn't stayed here!)

Wright Park

it's one of the nice places to go to in Baguio.
here, you can try horseback riding and shopping at the same time.
this is because of the stalls around selling different Baguio products.
And, did I mention about their foods sold on the streets?
Corns, Fries, Hotdogs, Nuts, etc.
Plus that "famous" Baguio keychains, personalized with you or your friends' names.
and the beautiful trees and flowers you can see around. :-)

The Mansion

Baguio's Malacanang.
Located just in front of Wright Park.
you are allowed to take pictures in front of it but not allowed to enter.
(safety reasons, of course!)

Mine's View Park

the "pasalubong" capital of Baguio.
always crowded.
ube jams, walis tambo, peanut brittle, lengua de gato,
knitted clothes/kitchen stuff, crinkles, peanut butter, etc.
all of these you can find in Mine's View.
of course, who could forget the photo ops with the BIG dog,
the kikay pink horse and the Igorot costumes, all for 10php each.

SM City Baguio

the only mall that I know WITHOUT centralized air-condition.
well, that explains the place where it is located.
and with the news about it's parking lot expansion causing Pine trees to be chopped off,
awwwwww.. what a bad idea!

Baguio Cathedral

third time in Baguio yet it was my first time to visit the cathedral.
the place was very quiet and peaceful.
it has a very nice structure.
so if ever you happen to visit Baguio,
don't think twice to stop and kneel down to pray.

Burnham Park

the best park to be with in Baguio.
boat riding, biking and many other activities you can enjoy here.
we weren't able to try boating this time because we have to hurry going to the market.
but we tried it already on my first time there. :-)

Philippine Military Academy

too bad they're that strict now.
people wearing flip flops/slippers are not allowed to go inside.
had fun on our trip here because we were able to watch the cadets dancing.
and the cadet-hunting was memorable! haha
just because of the remembrance pictures.

Bell Church, La Trinidad

located at the boundary of Baguio City and La Trinidad, Benguet,
this is one of the places that I would want to visit again.
Buddha, Dragon dance, and the temple itself.
plus the overlooking of the houses on the mountain. NICE!

Strawberry Farm, La Trinidad, Benguet

ahhhhhhhh. the strawberries..
the shopping stalls around. the STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM!
super fun and super enjoy!
would want to go back!

so many places. so little time.
hoping to go back soon, with my family and temtem (again).
there were still places i would like to go to and visit.

and with that i can say, I SOOOOO LOVE BAGUIO!!

Hakuna Matata!! :-)
